The brief
In property development the office map changes with each project
A developer rarely works from one office for long. A site office opens when construction starts, a sales suite opens for the launch, and both close once the project is done. Each of them needs connectivity, devices, printing, access and security in place before anyone sits down to work.
Documents move between JQZ’s own teams, its consultants and its financiers, settlements leave little room for an outage, and the project records are still needed long after the site has closed.
What JQZ wanted was a provider that treats a new site as planned work and runs the whole environment to one standard. That is the service we run for them today: Microsoft 365, devices, backup and security for the business, and each location as it opens and closes.
How the service runs
A new site opens the same way each time
Each new site office or sales suite follows the same deployment process, with connectivity, devices, access and security planned against its opening date, and the documented setup from the last site makes the next one quicker to plan. Between site changes we run support, Microsoft 365, devices, backup and security for the whole business and sit down with JQZ to plan the work ahead.
- Notice JQZ tells us a site is coming and we agree what it needs
- Prepare Connectivity, devices, printing, access and security go in before anyone moves in
- Open Staff arrive to a working desk and the files and systems they use
- Support The site joins day-to-day support, monitoring and backup with the rest of the business
- Close Devices come back, access is removed and the project records stay protected
What we manage
What we look after for JQZ
Setting up a new starter or a whole project team
Requests come through our AI-assisted service desk in Microsoft Teams. We know the environment well, and a new location or a new project team follows a documented build.
Project records that outlast the project
Project files sit in Microsoft 365, with access in Microsoft Entra ID set around each project team and its consultants. When a site closes the records stay backed up and recoverable for the retention period agreed with JQZ.
Devices that work wherever they are opened
JQZ’s staff move between head office, site offices and sales suites in the same week. Devices are managed centrally, so the same policies and support apply whether a laptop is opened at head office, on a construction site or in a sales suite.
Security that travels with each site
A new site is set up to the same security standard as head office, and access is removed when it closes. We assess alerts against the user, the device and what we can see across endpoints, Microsoft 365 and identity, and we keep an eye on MFA and sign-in activity in Entra ID.
Reporting and planning
JQZ follows requests and system health through its support portal. Our regular reporting covers the alerts we reviewed, what was escalated and where the security controls stand, which gives management a clear record to show insurers and the board. Upgrades and replacements are planned with JQZ before anything becomes urgent.
