Managed IT for property and construction

For developers, builders, agencies and strata managers, we connect new site offices, set up field devices and run Microsoft 365, email security and backup across head office and every project.

Sector focus

IT for businesses that run on sites and projects

Developers, builders, agencies and strata managers all work across offices, sites and people in the field. Each puts the weight somewhere different, whether that’s sales suites and project records, site connectivity, mobile agents or building records kept for years.

Property developers

Head office · Sales suites · Records

Property developers run a lean head office, sales suites that open and close with each release, and records that build up across many projects and entities.

We run head office and sales suites as one environment, with Microsoft 365 set up around projects and entities, and project and finance records backed up and retained.

What we look after
  • Teams and SharePoint structured around projects and entities
  • Connectivity, devices and displays for each sales suite
  • Onboarding and offboarding as project teams change
  • Secure remote access for staff moving between projects
  • AML/CTF records retained where the business provides a designated service
  • Essential Eight-aligned controls with evidence for cyber insurers
  • Backup and recovery for project, finance and document records
Site lifecycle

Every site, from first connection to handover

Sites open and close on the project’s timeline. Each one goes through the same four stages.

Head office, sales suites and site offices run as one environment, with the same sign-in, security and IT support wherever people work.

What we manage

The systems we look after day to day

Property and construction IT has to keep up with sites that open and close, crews that change, and project records that must stay retrievable for years.

Users and IT support

Office, site and field staff message us in Microsoft Teams and follow the request there, with AI-assisted triage routing it to the right engineer. A site that can’t work is a P1. Under our SLA-driven support model, the response target for a P1 incident is under 15 minutes.

Microsoft 365 and identity

Teams and SharePoint are set up around projects, entities and buildings, with MFA and Conditional Access on every account. Data loss prevention (DLP) is part of the setup, covering contracts, tenders, and buyer and owner information.

Computers and devices

Office machines, site laptops, tablets and agents’ phones are managed to one standard, with endpoint protection, encryption and remote wipe when a device goes missing from a site or a car.

Cloud, infrastructure and networks

Sites are connected on 5G, Starlink or carrier services, with SD-WAN failover where a site can’t afford to drop out. Head offices and sales suites move with the business: we relocated Southpac Constructions’ head office without a lost working day.

Backup and recovery

Microsoft 365, exported project records, finance data and long-running property records are backed up immutably, with restores tested. Recovery follows the business: identity, email and live project records first, then everything that can wait.

Vendors and project platforms

Procore, Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, CRM, property management and strata platforms all depend on the devices, sign-in and connectivity we manage, and we coordinate with each vendor. CCTV, access control and building systems sit on segmented networks.

Cybersecurity and project data

Email carries contracts, drawings and buyer details every day, so we monitor mailbox rules and forwarding, block lookalike domains and impersonation, and act on risky sign-ins. Essential Eight-aligned controls are part of the service, with SOC and MDR where projects and client data call for monitored response.

Copilot, AI and automation

Project and sales permissions are reviewed before Copilot rolls out. Beyond Copilot, we build AI agents and automation for document search, site reporting and service requests.

Common questions

Questions we get asked

Can you get a construction site connected quickly?
Yes. We choose the right mix of 5G, Starlink and carrier services for each site, with SD-WAN where it helps, put it behind a managed firewall and monitor it like any office. At handover, we close it down so temporary links don’t stay open.
Do you support Procore, Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud or Bluebeam?
We manage what those platforms rely on: devices, sign-in, Microsoft 365, connectivity, backup of exported records and security. Configuration inside the platform stays with its vendor or your platform owner, and we work with them when an issue crosses over.
Can you supply and set up devices for new sites?
Yes. Through Technology Procurement we specify and source laptops, tablets, phones and site networking, and each device is enrolled and secured before it’s handed out. Hardware is quoted separately from Managed IT.
Do the AML/CTF reforms affect real estate agencies and developers?
For certain services, yes. Real estate professionals, including agents and property developers, now have AML/CTF obligations for designated services, including customer due diligence, suspicious matter reporting and seven-year record keeping. We set up the controlled record storage, access and evidence trail those obligations depend on.
How much does Managed IT cost for a property or construction business?
The price depends on users, sites, the technology being managed and security requirements. Microsoft licensing, hardware, site connectivity and project work are identified separately. Use our Managed IT cost calculator for an indicative estimate.
How does onboarding work for our offices and sites?
We start by documenting your environment: access, offices, sites, devices, project platforms, vendors, security controls and any open issues. We then bring each area under management in stages, beginning with monitoring and backup.
Is Starlink reliable enough for a construction site office?
For most sites, yes, especially where fibre or a strong 5G signal isn’t available. Starlink gives a fast primary link within days, and pairing it with 5G under SD-WAN means the site office can fail over if one link drops. Plan the mounting, power and a clear view of the sky before the dish goes up, and put the site behind a managed firewall like any office. We set the mix up per site and monitor it until handover.
How long do strata managers need to keep scheme records in NSW?
Section 180 of the Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 requires an owners corporation to keep records such as minutes, financial statements and agreements with strata and building managers for at least seven years, and the Act now requires those records to be kept in electronic form. Strata managers usually hold them on the scheme’s behalf, so the storage needs to be backed up, access-controlled and searchable for years. We set that up in Microsoft 365 with retention and restores tested.
How do we stop project files ending up on personal phones?
Use app protection policies through Microsoft Intune. Staff can still read email and project documents on their own phone, but company data stays inside managed apps such as Outlook and Teams, can’t be copied or saved elsewhere, and can be wiped remotely without touching personal photos or apps. Conditional Access then blocks sign-in from devices that don’t meet the policy. We set this up so site staff and agents keep working from their phones with company data under control.
What reporting and reviews do we get?
You can check the health of your offices and sites at any time through your support portal, and you get a monthly snapshot of support, security and backup activity. Each quarter we meet to look ahead at new sites, sales suites, office moves and crew changes, along with device replacements, licensing and security improvements, so connectivity and equipment can be ordered ahead of time. The reporting and meeting rhythm is set to suit your business.
