How the estimate is calculated
The calculator prices the services you select for the users, devices, sites and storage you enter. Managed IT, Microsoft 365, security and network services are priced per user, per device, per site or per terabyte each month. Onboarding, site deployment and assessments are one-off costs, shown separately.
The Managed IT service rate per user reduces as the number of users grows. This volume pricing is applied automatically.
Multi-year agreements attract a discount. It is agreed with us for 24 and 36 month terms and is not included in the calculated estimate.

What affects Managed IT pricing?
Managed IT is priced around the environment being supported. Most fully managed IT environments fall between $99 and $270 per user per month ex GST, and these are the things that move the cost within that range.
Users and devices
Most services are priced per user or per managed device, so the size of the environment is the biggest driver.
Number of sites
Each office or branch can add firewall and SD-WAN management, and one-off site deployment where required.
Managed IT service level
Essentials covers business-hours support. Professional adds 24/7 monitoring, cross-platform management, asset management and a quarterly technology review.
Microsoft licensing
Microsoft 365 licensing can be included in the estimate or left out if it is already in place.
Cybersecurity and monitoring
Endpoint protection, managed detection and response, identity response, email security and SIEM each add a per-user or per-device cost.
Onboarding and projects
Onboarding, site deployment and assessments are one-off costs, shown separately from the monthly price.
Agreement term

How much does Managed IT cost per user in Australia?
At Inlight IT, most fully managed IT environments fall between $99 and $270 per user per month ex GST.
Where an environment sits in that range depends on the service level, the Microsoft 365 licensing and security services included, the number of users and sites, and the infrastructure being managed.
What is included in Managed IT pricing?
Managed IT Essentials covers business-hours helpdesk, remote monitoring and management, patch management and core reporting. Managed IT Professional adds 24/7 monitoring, cross-platform management, asset management and a quarterly technology review.
Microsoft licensing, security services, network management and storage appear as separate lines, so you can see what each adds.
Is Microsoft 365 included?
Microsoft 365 licensing is priced separately from the managed service. Choose Business Standard or Business Premium in the calculator, or select the already licensed option to leave it out.
What changes the cost of Managed IT?
The number of users, devices and sites, the Managed IT service level, the Microsoft licensing and security services selected, and one-off onboarding or project work. Hardware, travel and specialist applications are scoped separately.
Is cybersecurity included?
Security services are shown as separate components so the estimate reflects what you choose. The calculator preselects the services we suggest, including endpoint protection, managed detection and response, identity threat response, secure access and data protection, and email security. Each one can be removed.
